Frequently Asked Questions

Most questions are answered on our Agreement Page but here are a few more FAQ's.

How do I arrange Quarantine of my pets?

The application form you complete is ours, you will find this on our agreement page. This needs to be faxed back to us on the number shown or emailed, both shown on the application form.

We use this information to apply to DEFRA for the required travel licences and documents you will need. Please make sure that your address information is clearly written and correct, this is where DEFRA will be sending the original documents.

We will arrange for the original Boarding Licences and Red Rabies Label to be sent 1st Class airmail to yourself as you will need these original documents when you confirm your pets flight.

A deposit of £500 is payable on application, this confirms your booking, covers collection charges, airport handling etc and vet fees.

For your pet to travel to the UK it will have to see a Vet, who will provide a Health Certificate which states that your pet is fit to travel and free from any obvious signs of infectious diseases, we would ask that your pet has had Tick and Tape Worm treatment before returning to the UK.

Your pet will need a travel crate of the correct size, also please remember your pet must travel as Manifest Cargo. These are readily available and your chosen airline should be able to give you a list of providers.

What about visiting?

We do encourage you to visit your pets whenever possible whilst they are in quarantine. We have standard visiting times, Wednesday to Saturday 1400 - 1600, but are able to be flexible to suit individual clients' needs by arrangement. We encourage safe and interesting toys that will help to stimulate your pets whilst staying with us. Owners are able to groom whilst visiting or we have a professional Groomer available for a nominal charge. Treats are allowed but have to be monitored so the vet and staff members are aware of any changes to your pets diet.

How long are the Import Licences & DEFRA Boarding Documents valid for?

These are valid for SIX months.
